Job Summary
The Accounting Clerk provides accounting and clerical assistance to the Firm, by ensuring that the Firm’s daily accounting functions run accurately and effectively.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Knowledge of all department tasks and ability to work together with accounting clerks to rotate and cover duties at any time.
- Ensure the timeliness and accuracy of payment, entry, review, and posting.
- Complete and record deposits for the Operating and Trust accounts daily, as needed.
- Process payment for online medical records.
- Process payments for independent sign-up companies.
- Purchase online police reports.
- Prepare positive pay files for trust and operating checks for approval and uploads.
- Review and prepare operating checks to be mailed out.
- Work as a team and assist with completing all tasks to meet the accounting deadlines.
Qualifications and Skills
- This is a FT 40-hour per week position.
- Knowledge of Accounting principles
- Knowledge of Microsoft products (i.e. Excel) is a plus
- 1-2 years of experience in Accounting is preferred but not a requirement
- Strong multitasking skills, highly organized, and detail-oriented.
- Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high-volume environment with an emphasis on accuracy and timeliness.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize projects
- Team player, with the ability to cross-train in a variety of tasks.
- Good communication skills
